Dual Vessel Automatic Reaction Calorimeter

Model: DERC-250 mL to 5L

1, A reaction calorimeter for measuring heat profiles, enthalpies, chemical conversion and heat transfer under process-like conditions. 

2, DUAL Reaction Calorimeter is a reaction calorimeter used in process development and hazard assessment to investigate the thermal properties of a chemical reaction under defined operating conditions. The system allows optimization of process conditions for maximum product yield and minimizes safety hazards, based on the derived thermodynamic and kinetic information of the reaction. 

DUAL Reaction Calorimeter supports both calibration-free power compensation calorimetry and classical heat flow calorimetry methods allowing the user to select the most appropriate method.

3, System Description

1)The system features a robust stand benchtop frame capable of supporting 1 reactor, a single ESSENTON. 

2)ESSENTON-TORQUE Ultimate 100 stirrer motor, 4 blade down flow stirring impellers, a Huber Unistat Tango heater/chiller unit with appropriate heat transfer fluid and triple insulated oil pipes. 

4, Liquid Feed 

Glass reactors are supplied with one Prominent Gamma/ X metering pump, model GMXA1602 with a maximum feed rate of 2.3 L/h (38 mL/min) and 16 bar maximum back pressure, PVDF dosing head material construction and one A&D Balance 4 Kg maximum capacity and 0.1 g resolution.

5, Reactors

1)Available in borosilicate glass with volumes of 1 litres and include a bottom outlet valve.

2)Glass reactors are double jacketed. The outer vacuum jacket providing enhanced temperature control. 

3)Glass reactors are paired with a borosilicate glass DN100 - 7 ports lid. 

6, Operating Ranges: 

1)The standard system temperature range option is -259℃ to 3000℃ for glass reactors. 

2)The low temperature configuration option is -259℃ to 3000℃ for reactors. 

3)The standard system pressure range is vacuum to atmospheric pressure for glass reactors. 

7, Intelligent Software Control and Analysis

ESSENTON WinISO proprietary control software enables real-time graphing of all data streams and allows quick monitoring of reaction parameters as well as easy export of data in various formats for analysis in ESSENTON proprietary (i.e. IQ) and 3rd party (e.g. Microsoft Excel) data processing packages. The ESSENTON software can additionally be installed on multiple PCs for offline recipe planning and data analysis with IQ software. 

8, Safety Features
